Summer Camp Overview
Our summer camp provides our youth with diverse experiences, fitness activities, tutoring, and social-emotional learning. BLW also facilitates empowerment clubs for middle school girls and boys, known as Girl Neighborhood Power and Life as a Boy. These clubs focus on character development, goal setting, and community engagement. Moreover, the program offers the Youth Leadership initiative, which fosters life skills, civic engagement, and college readiness.
BLW is a Drop-In Program where students are free to choose whether they attend the program. However, we do ask that youth attend at least three of the five days each week in order to remain enrolled.
Students are free to leave the program at any point that they wish, however, a parent or guardian must be notified before the child leaves.
If your child attends summer school, they may join us on Thursday and Friday once summer school is over. Students in summer school will not be able to attend on Tuesdays.
