Los Niños Primero

Our bilingual early childhood program is designed for children ages 3 to 5, preparing them for elementary school through engaging, hands-on activities. We integrate literacy, language, math, and social skills into each session, providing a comprehensive foundation for future learning.

The program is conducted entirely in Spanish, creating an immersive language experience. Parents are actively involved, participating in every class session and attending monthly workshops focused on childhood development.

Enroll your child today and take part in a nurturing educational journey that supports both language development and essential early learning skills.

Los Niños Primero Schedule

Families can join the program in the spring, summer, or fall semester.

We currently offer three class options:

  • Group 1: Monday - Wednesday, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM

  • Group 2: Wednesday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM

  • Group 3: Monday - Wednesday, 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM

Los Niños Primero Activities

The program is taught 100% in Spanish. Families may start in spring, summer, or fall semester. There are currently two classes that run from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, one that runs Monday through Wednesday, and one from Wednesday through Friday.

  • Monthly workshops are provided to parents/guardians to improve their knowledge in early childhood development. Workshops vary based on interests of families but include mental and emotional health, nutrition, behavior management and more.

  • LNP uses play-based learning to help children engage with and learn from the world around them through hands-on activities. For example, building with blocks encourages creativity, problem-solving, and fine motor skills. Pretend play fosters imagination, social interaction, and language development. Arts and craft projects promote fine motor skills and creative expression. Storytelling and reading aloud stimulate imagination and literacy skills, helping children connect with the world and develop essential life skills.

  • Monthly field trips feature exciting activities like trips to the zoo, visits to local farms, a special meet-and-greet with Santa, and much more!

  • Families are connected with local schools and staff to ensure a smooth transition into Kindergarten. LNP also supports families in navigating and completing the enrollment process.

  • Cultural events are a highlight of our program, promoting community and connection. Annual celebrations such as Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), Día de los Reyes Magos (Three Kings Day), Thanksgiving, and others are integrated into program activities, providing meaningful opportunities for families to come together and celebrate.

Overview

LNP is a free, bilingual early childhood program for Spanish-speaking children ages 3–5 and their caregivers. We focus on school readiness, second language acquisition, and parental involvement, helping children from underserved backgrounds succeed.

Our program equips parents and caregivers with the skills to support Spanish and English language development, promote healthy growth, and advocate for their children in school. Key goals include enhancing caregivers' understanding of child development and school expectations, boosting children's readiness for school, and fostering effective communication with school staff.
